News Extracts (The Straits Times)

Tip of the Iceberg?

Professional Ground’s viewpoint:

From unvalidated sources, there could be a scenario of,

–  The Chinese government is not very happy with what happened to Sands China’s ‘explotation’ in Macau… as the US law suit filed by Sands China’s ex-president Jacobs;

–  A sign of more ‘engagement and containment’ of foreign casino operator(s) that does not come clean on their business dealing;

–  Could Sands China be the first foreign casino operator to receive ‘corrective punishment’ for their improper conduct of business in Chinese territories (Macau & Hong Kong)?

It is getting more interesting to continue observing the progress and eventual outcome of the recent investigation by Hong Kong Stock Exchange as well as the US court case about Jacobs vs Adelson.  Show-time.
